Under the supervision of Dr. Andrew G. Thomas and Prof. Jason Davies, my research builds on research started in my MSc dissertation, investigating the underlying psychological profile of incels (involuntary celibate).

Graduated with distinction from the MSc in Psychology: Evolution and Culture, where I was part of Prof. David Schmitt's Personality and Culture lab. Under Prof. Schmitt's supervision, my dissertation conducted some of the world's first research into the underlying psychological profile of incels (involuntary celibates).

Assignments
My assignments led me to write essays on the massive modularity debate, evolutionary psychology’s compatibility with cross-cultural psychology, sexual conflict and the representation of women within the sexual conflict literature, and cross-cultural sex differences in mate preferences. An academic poster developed for our Evolutionary Perspectives on Culture module went on to win "best poster" at the University of Stirling Evolutionary Perspectives on Culture Conference 2021. Our research methods modules have equipped me with the skills to conduct experiments, analyse/present data, and write manuscripts.

Dissertation
Under the supervision of Prof. David Schmitt, and guided by evolutionary theory, my dissertation conducted some of the first primary research (n=143) into the underlying psychological profile of incels (involuntary celibates). I used t-tests, a one way ANOVA, moderated regression, and chi-square analyses throughout my data analyses.
